Russell Lichtenberg

Russell Lichtenberg, age 71, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away on Monday, June 8, 1992, at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh.

He was born on September 9, 1920, in Ripon, to the late Frank and Ida (Schilling) Lichtenberg. He served in the Army during World War II. On August 7, 1948, he married Mabel Lehman in Oshkosh. He had been a painter at Speed Queen in Ripon before moving to Oshkosh in 1947. He then worked on construction jobs as a cement finisher in the Oshkosh area.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel of Oshkosh; one son, Robert Lichtenberg and one step-son, Harry (Ferne) Keso, both of Oshkosh; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Lynne Keso of Oshkosh; four sisters, Caroline (Les) Powell of Oshkosh, Irene Katerzynski and Louise (Bernard) Waters, both of Ripon, and Betty (John) Hoffman of Oakfield. His parents and one brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Russell Lichtenberg will be held Thursday, June 11, 1992, at 11:00 a.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. The Reverend Harley C.W. Tretow will officiate. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in his name.
