Russell E. Pease Sr., age 81, of Green Lake, WI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 14, 2009.
Russell was born on September 18, 1928, in Chicago, IL, the son of Manford and Gertrude (Enos) Pease. He graduated from Steinmetz High School and went on to Drake University, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Russell was an international marketing executive for a global consumer electronics company and proudly served our country as a US Marine. While living in the Bahama Islands, he was a pilot in the Nassau Flying Club. Russell traveled the world by air and by foot, was an avid story teller and enjoyed sharing stories with anyone fortunate to hear them. Russell fully embraced life and his last journey led him to the place he loved the most, Green Lake, WI, where he resided for the last 30 years.
Survivors include three daughters, Michele (Steve) Deblock of Scotts Valley, CA, Kimberly (Tom) Schumacher of Oakbrook, IL, and Pamela (John) Rea of Lemont, IL; one son, Russell (Jenny) Pease Jr. of Chicago, IL; six grandchildren, Carly and Coleman Deblock, Kelsey and Matthew Schumacher, Samuel and Olivia Rea and Carter Pease. Russell was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for Russell Pease will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI 54971.
Memorial Service for Russell Pease will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Chaplain Bob Lantz will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Chicago, IL. To preserve the lake he loved so much, memorials may be given to Green Lake Conservancy Foundation, Inc, P.O. Box 52 Green Lake, WI 54941.
