Ruth M. Hasse, age 96, of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center in Menasha, WI.
Ruth was born on April 1, 1915, in Ripon, the daughter of John and Rose (Gruetzmacher) Albright. She graduated from Ripon High School and on June 19, 1937, Ruth married Alfred E. Hasse also becoming a homemaker at that time. She was a very active member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ being involved in the Ladies Guild and the Married Couples Club. She was also a member of the Hoe and Hope Garden Club and the Hilltop Homemakers Club. Ruth enjoyed cooking, entertaining friends, gardening, arranging flowers, shopping, playing cards with friends, going for fish on Fridays, keeping a nice clean house and bus trips to places like the Fireside.
Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Felix of Appleton; two granddaughters, Pamela Felix of Appleton and Sharon (David) Kozicki of Pulaski, WI; two great-grandsons, Tyler and Alec Wyland both of Appleton and nieces and nephews, Mary, Allen, Gail, LeRoy and Lois Albright and Cathi (Terry) Otto. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband on June 19, 2004 and two brothers, Howard and Roy Albright.
Visitation for Ruth Hasse will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011, from 1 – 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Ruth Hasse will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Mark R. West will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial is being established.
