Ruth Hutchison

Ruth Hutchison, age 92, of Ripon, WI, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.

Ruth was born July 30, 1923, in the Town of Brooklyn, WI, the daughter of August and Martha (Kobernik) Hielke. She graduated from Ripon High School and on March 23, 1953, Ruth married Ira Hutchison in Iowa. She worked at Ripon Foods as a cookie packer for 40 plus years until her retirement. Ruth was a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon and was also a member of the Golden Girls. She enjoyed spending time with the retirees from the cookie factory and especially enjoyed going out to eat with friends. She was also an exceptional cook. Ruth loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren dearly.

Survivors include her daughters, Janice (Stephen) Ohlrich of Ripon, WI, and Debra (Gary) Jahnke of Appleton, WI; grandchildren, Robert Kranz of Fond du Lac, WI, Tim (Amanda) Kranz of Ripon, Caitlin (Nick Goeldi) Jahnke of Appleton, WI, and Nick (Marci) Ohlrich of Girdwood, AK; great grandchildren, Alex Kranz, Marissa Arveson, Emma Kranz, Lydia Kranz, and Addisyn Kranz; brother, Bill (Sharon) Hielke of Nakoosa, WI, and brother-in-law, Ed Priebe. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ira Hutchison; brothers, Adolph Hielke and Edwin Hilke; sisters, Laura Rudey and Elaine Priebe; sisters-in-law, Mary Hielke, Frieda Hielke, and Irene Hilke and brother-in-law, Alvin Rudey.

Visitation for Ruth Hutchison will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, from 10 -11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 320 Mt. Zion Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral Service for Ruth Hutchison will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Pastor Dennis Meier will officiate. Interment will follow at Bethel Reeds Corners Cemetery in the Town of Metomen. A memorial is being established.
