Ruth Meyer

Ruth A. Meyer, age 67, of 9268 Tricounty Rd, Ripon, Town of Nepeuskun, died Monday, April 10, 2000, at Berlin Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 30, 1932, in the Town of Nepeuskun, a daughter to Lawrence and Elva (Sommerfelt) Humbright. Ruth graduated from Ripor High School, and on September 12, 1953, she married Alton J. Meyer. She worked at the First National Bank in Ripon from 1952-1956, and after that she spent her time on the farm with Alton. Ruth lived in the Ripon area all of her life. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and past President of the Women of the Church, Ladies Aide; Six Mile Corner Homemaker’s Club, and was a past 4~H Leader for the Three Hilltoppers.

She is survived by her husband, Alton J. Meyer; 2 daughters, Jane (Patrick) Disterhaft of Fond du Lac and Sara (Ronald) Liptow of Rosendale; 1 grandson, Patrick Disterhaft, Jr; 2 step.grandchildren, Chad (Jill) Liptow of Mukwonago and Kirstin (Tom) Gregor of Berlin; her mother, Elva Humbright of Ripon; and sister-in-law, Dorraine Heitmann of AZ. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Humbright in 1988.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 12, 2000, from 4 until 8 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and again on Thursday, from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church. Funeral service for Ruth A. Meyer wHI be Thursday, April 13, 2000, at 11 AM at Grace Lutheran Church with the Pastor Paul Holte officiating, assisted by Pastor Bruce Falksen of lola. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
