Scott Alan Smith, age 55, of the Town of Brooklyn, died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, November 16, 2000, in Adams Co.
He was born September 15, 1945, in Ripon, a son of the late Floyd D. and Phyllis (Steineke) Smith. He was a 1964 graduate Ripon High School. On July 16, 1966, he married Karen Kaskavage of Berlin. Scott worked 28 years at Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac. He was a member of the Oshkosh Stone Club and Walleyes for Tomorrow and President of the Sunnyside Lot Owners Association.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; two daughters, Patty (Mark) Ziesmer and their children, Jordyn and Kerstyn and Shelley Smith all of Ripon; four sisters, Constance Smith of Green Bay, Janet (William) Crook of Ripon; Gayle (Terran) Cain of Ripon and Nedra (Willard) Smith of Madison; three brothers, Bruce (Rita) Smith of Big Flats, Ronald (Mary) Smith of Ripon and Mark Smith of Ripon; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service for Scott Alan Smith will be Monday, November 20, 2000, at 7 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Pastor David Busker officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 3 7:00 pm at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.
