Scott R. Zahn, age 42, formerly of Ripon, passed away at his home in Lakeview, IL, on April 7, 2006.
Scott was born on May 26, 1963, the son of Raymond and Gail (Gillette) Zahn in Milwaukee, WI. He graduated from Ripon Senior High School and served our country in the US Navy. Scott was working as a tankerman for Penn Maritime in New York. He was a very proud barge tankerman for 20 years as a Merchant Marine. Scott delivered food to 3rd world countries and he loved St. Petersburg Russia, best of all. Scott was known for his sunshine and laughter. His Intelligence, sense of humor and sensitivity helped him to make friends very easily all over the world and was loved by all who met him. Scott was a life long member of St. Peters Church in Ripon.
Survivors include his parents, Raymond and Gail Zahn of Ripon; daughter, Allison of Oshkosh; brother, Eric (Shirley) Zahn and their children Camille and Nash Zahn of Oshkosh; grandmother, Alice Mimmi Stark of Crandon, WI; soul-mate, Lynne Sacerdote, who will be with him forever and her daughter Emma Rose; grandfather; Gordon Gillette of Green Bay and many cousins in Green Bay, Ripon and Crandon. He is preceded in death by his uncle, Don Gillette, paternal grandparents, Betty and Elmer Zahn and maternal grandfather, Gene Stark.
Service: A Mass of the Resurrection for Scott R. Zahn will be held at 4:00 p.m. on April 12, 2006 at St. Peters Episcopal Church with Rev. Kenneth Guy officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. in Crandon Lake Side Cemetery, Crandon, WI. on Thursday, April 13, 2006. In Lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the American Heart Assn, 660 E Mason, Suite 200, Milwaukee, WI. 53202.
