Sean L. Wyer, age 52 of Brandon, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 13, 2010.
Sean was born on August 4, 1957, the son of John and Shirley Wyer in Neillsville, WI. After the family moved to Ripon, Sean attended grade school at St. Patricks School in Ripon, attended St. Lawrence Seminary and graduated from Ripon High School in 1975. After high school Sean worked for his fathers painting business. In May of 1977 he married Sheila Zabel, and they raised two children together. Sean managed the Campus Theatre in Ripon for 9 years, followed by the purchase of the Dominos Pizza franchise in Ripon, which he managed for the past 24 years. As a small business owner, Sean has had a major impact on Ripon and the surrounding communities. Sean was an avid Packer fan, enjoyed Nascar and bowling.
Survivors include his wife Sheila of Brandon; his two children, Christopher (Amanda) Swaw-Wyer of Oshkosh, and Rachel Wyer of Murfreesboro, TN; one brother, Patrick Wyer of Fond du Lac, three sisters, Michele Benson of Ripon, Valerie (Ken) Then of Sun Prairie, Jacqueline Wyer of Texas and friend Michael Shepard; mother-in-law, Mayme Zabel; sister-in-law, Anita (Darwin) Hilt Jr; brothers-in-law, Mark (Ann) Zabel, and Randy Zabel and friend Amy Rudolf; along with several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Sean was preceded in death by his parents, and father-in-law Eugene Zabel.
Visitation for Sean Wyer will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2010, from 3 to 7:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and again on Monday, January 18, 2010, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church on Blossom St. in Ripon.
Mass of Christian burial for Sean Wyer will be held on Monday, January 18, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. with The Reverend Robert A. Fictum officiating. A memorial has been established in his name.
