Sharon Jeanne Fischer, age 70, of Green Lake, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2010, at her home in Green Lake, WI.
Sharon was born on July 5, 1939, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Howard and Henrietta (Schuerer) Sommer. She graduated from Parkside High School and went to UW Racine and UW Oshkosh to further her education. In 1959, Sharon married Dale Lawrence Fischer in Racine, WI. She became a legal secretary but she enjoyed being an in home caregiver for the elderly. Her true passion was spending time with her grandchildren. She was also involved with friends of Bill W.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Dale of Green Lake, WI; one daughter, Cheryl (Rich) Schoewe of Dalton, WI; three sons, Jeffrey (Kathy) Fischer of Ripon, WI, Robert (Kristin) Fischer of Neenah, WI and Scott (Debbi) Fischer of Oshkosh, WI; seven grandchildren, Stephan Fischer of West Allis, WI, Jonathan Fischer of West Allis, WI, Brinley Fischer of Oshkosh, WI, Brett Fischer of Oshkosh, WI, Avery Fischer of Neenah, WI, Nolan Fischer of Neenah, WI and Becky Pamenter of Pickett, WI; great-granddaughter, Gianna Poniewaz; brother, Larry (Margie) Sommer and Kristan all of Chicago, IL. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Sarah Poniewaz on January 14, 2007.
Visitation for Sharon Fischer will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, from 1 – 2:00 pm at Federated Church of Green Lake in Green Lake.
Funeral Service for Sharon Fischer will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at 2:00 pm at Federated Church of Green Lake in Green Lake. Reverend Karen Gygax Rodriguez will officiate. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. A memorial has been established in her name.
