Sherry (OBrien) Keenlance, age 75, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019, at Copperleaf Village in Ripon.
Sherry was born in Ripon on September 17, 1944, the second daughter of Donald and Gladys (Warren) OBrien. She graduated from Ripon High School (RHS) in 1963 and attended UW-Stevens Point. On July 11, 1964 she married Delbert Keenlance. Sherry worked at RHS as a teachers aide in the reading lab for many years and cherished the bonds she developed with her students. Her passion for music was multifaceted. She learned to play the piano at age six and went on to teach piano lessons, accompany hundreds of RHS student musicians, perform at several school musicals, and attend concerts of numerous music artists. Her favorite musicians were The Beatles and she was fortunate to have seen them perform live. Sherry also enjoyed reading, bird watching, and jigsaw puzzles. Most of all, she loved her family. She will be dearly missed and will be forever in our hearts.
Sherry is survived by Delbert, her husband of 55 years; daughter, Christine (Mike) Grams; two sons, Trenton (Lori) Keenlance and Tyler (Kera) Keenlance; siblings, Cody OBrien, Cindy (Tom) Bauer, Kelly (Kim) OBrien, and Tracy (Sue) OBrien; grandchildren, Caitlin (Nick) and Marshall Bauman, Austin, Jacob, Maris, Kaden, and Adler Keenlance; step-grandchildren, Alex and Joey Grams; brother and sister-in-laws, Bradford McKendry, Kenneth and Shirley Keenlance, and Larry and Karen Workowski; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Gladys OBrien; her father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Marjorie Keenlance; her sister, Peggy McKendry; and her nephew, Kyle OBrien.
A Celebration of Life and Music for Sherry will be held on Saturday, December 21st from 11:00am-3:00pm at her favorite restaurant, Roadhouse Pizza in Ripon (102 Watson Street).
