Shirley Elaine Hamaishi, age 78, of W2958 Orchard Ave, Green Lake, WI, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at her home.
Shirley was born on April 3, 1929, in Waukesha, WI, the daughter of Lester and Frieda (Drager) Fredrick. She graduated from Princeton High School and then went onto Valparaiso University and University of Wisconsin Madison. On August 18, 1951 she married George Hamaishi in Princeton. Shirley worked in Glen Ellyn, IL and Princeton, WI in the public libraries for many years. She loved caring for animals and the environment. Shirley was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ripon, Princeton Historical Society, Dorcas Grace Ladies and Green Lake Democratic Party.
Survivors include her daughters, Sally (Mike) Winger of Lombard, IL and Betsy Morris of Glendale Heights, IL; 2 grandchildren, Krista and Justin Winger of Lombard, IL and several cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, George on March 30, 2006 and son-in-law, Mark Morris.
Visitation for Shirley Hamaishi will be held on Monday, April 23, 2007 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Shirley Hamaishi will be held on Monday, April 23, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Maurice A. Schaus officiating. Interment will be held in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. A memorial has been established.
