Shirley Elizabeth Wiese, 56, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2000, at Ripon Medical Center after a battle with cancer.
Shirley was born on August 11, 1944, the daughter of Walter and Elizabeth (Disterhaft) Nitz. She graduated from Markesan High School and work most recently as an inspector at Wilson-Hurd in Berlin. Shirley loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, and had a great love for all animals.
Survivors include her children, Howard (Marion) Wiese of Green Lake, Douglas (Kathy) Wiese of Berlin, Jennifer Wiese and Bryan Wiese both of Ripon and two grandchildren, Amanda and Timothy Wiese of Green Lake. Her sisters, Linda Dahlke, Evon Van Ornum and Carol Otto and one brother, David Nitz and her grand-puppy, Misty. A special friend, Vicki Goeden Hoch. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on September 12, 2000 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Friends may call from 5:00 until the time of service at the funeral home. There will be a private family inurnment in Dayton Cemetery, Town of Princeton. A memorial has been established in her name for the American Cancer Society.
