Sophia Rusch, age 101, of Pickett, died February 13, 1995, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.
She was born Novembsr 25, 1893, the daughter of the late August and Agusta Trapp at Brown Deer, WI. She received her education in Brandon and West Rosendale. Sophia married Otto Rusch in Oshkosh July 29, 1922. Otto preceded her in death July 14, 1957. She was a housewife all her married life. Otto and Sophia farmed in the Town of Rosendale until their retirement. Sophia was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale and attended the Pickett Community Center.
Mrs. Rusch is survived by 1 daughter, Audrey (Norman) Dean of Pickett; 2 granddaughters, Karen (Randy) Sagmeister of Oshkosh and Betty Dean of Pickett; 2 great-grandsons, Jeffery and Joseph Sagmeister of Oshkosh; 1 sister, Mina Katzur of Ripon; many nieces and nephews. Sophia was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, 2 sisters-in-law, and 1 great-grandson, Jason Sagmeister.
Funeral services for Sophia Rusch will be held 11 A.M. Friday, February 17, 1995, at Peace Lutheran Church, Rosendale. The Reverend Paul Holte will officiate and interment will be in Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Pickett. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service at the church. A memorial has been established.
