Sylvia E. Krause, age 78, of Ripon, passed away Thursday evening, July 1, 2004, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born April 16, 1926, in Exionia, WI. Sylvia was a Class of 1946 graduate of Ripon High School. She married Roy Krause in Ripon in 1946. Sylvia retired as an apartment manager in Arlington Heights, IL, and moved back to Ripon in 1992. She was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid, and the Ripon Shmear Club. Sylvia loved baking and cooking, especially making cookies and pies.
Survivors include 2 sons, Dennis Krause (partner Linda Bauer) of Ripon and Donald (Denita) Krause of Berlin; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Melvin Blank of Ripon and Howard (Veronica) Blank of Schofield; and sisters, Doris (Jack) Wallace of Ripon and Leela (Stuart) Klauer of New London. She was preceded in death by parents, and sister, Iris Platt.
Funeral service for Sylvia E. Krause will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Ripon with Pastor Paul Mose officiating. Interment will be in Loper Cemetery, Town of Ripon. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 6 from 4-7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, and again on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be given in her name to Mount Zion Lutheran Church.
