Sylvia H. Kuehn, age 99, of 50 Wolverton Ave. Ripon, died Wednesday morning, December 14, 2005, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
Sylvia was born on May 5, 1906 in Eldorado, WI the daughter of William and Willimena (Luebke) Kuhnz. She attended school in Eldorado. She was married to Howard Kroll from 1923 until the time of his death in 1948 and to Fred Kuehn from 1950 until the time of his death in 1976. Sylvia worked as a farmer and a retail sales clerk at SS Kresge in Fond du Lac and a sewer at Ripon Knitting Works and Fox River Glove Factory in Ripon. She was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
Survivors include her son Duane (Janet) Kroll of Haines City, FL, seven grandchildren; John (Barb) Bartley of Grand Marsh, WI, Dana Lu (Ken) Henriksen of Arkdale, WI, Paul (Sally) Aspatore of Green Bay, WI, Brian (Joni) Kroll of Lorain, OH, Kevin (Heidi) Kroll of Reynoldsburg, OH, Alan Kroll of Poynette, WI, Garin (Melanie) Kroll of Avon Lake, OH, seventeen great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren, and one step-son Art (Marion) Kuehn of Ripon. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three daughters, Joyce Bartley, Sarah Kroll, and Evelyn Aspatore; two brothers, two sisters, and one brother-in-law, Orville Kroll.
Funeral services for Sylvia Kuehn will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at 11:00 am at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Rev. Mark R. West officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Ripon. Memorial gifts may be given to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon and Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
