Sylvia R. Schiebler, age 99, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018, at Wolverton Glen Assisted Living in Ripon.
Sylvia was born on December 3, 1918, in Appleton, WI, the daughter of George and Angeline (Hollenback) Richard. She graduated from Appleton West High School. On August 13, 1937 she married the late Fred Schiebler in Chilton, WI. She worked as a knitter for Zwicker Knitting Mills in Appleton knitting gloves and mittens prior to having children. She was a devoted member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in Ripon.
Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Ina (Don) Wettstein of Eureka, WI; grandsons, Douglas (LeeAnn) Wettstein of Oakfield, WI and Gary Wettstein of Phoenix, AZ; great-grandsons, Alex and Ben Wettstein; and a sister, Gloria Pozorski of Milwaukee, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Angeline Richard; and her husband, Fred Schiebler.
A Private Prayer Service for Sylvia will be held at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Reverend Robert A. Fictum officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. A memorial is being established in her name.
