Ted Shadrack George Burdick, 74, of Ripon, WI, died unexpectedly Friday, November 10, 1995, at his home in the Town of Green Lake.
He was born January 3, 1921, a son of the late William and Sarah Hill Burdick. He attended Green Lake Schools. On June 11, 1941, he married Adeline Stellmacher. Ted was born and raised on the 280 acre family farm which had been in the family since 1840. He farmed all of his life raising beef cows and feeder cattle. Teds political career in Green Lake County started in 1961 and ran for thirty-three years. During that time Ted spent fifteen years on the Conservation Committee, twenty-six years on the Town Board, serving as chairman, twenty of those years, and was Town of Green Lake District Representative. He also served on the Ripon Rural Fire District and the Markesan Rural Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Adeline; two sons, William (Barbara) Burdick and James Burdick of Ripon and four grandchildren, Beth, Brent, Brenda and Brad.
Funeral service for the late Ted Burdick will be 11 am Monday, November 13, 1995, at Immanual United Methodist Church in Ripon where he was a member. Reverend Howard M. Ott will officiate. Interment will follow in Green Lake Center Cemetery in the Town of Green Lake.
The family will receive relatives and friends Monday from 9 am until the time of the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel United Church in his name.
