Teodoro Ramos

Teodoro M. Ramos M.D. age 52, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 1991, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Ramos was born August 1, 1938, in Batac, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, a son of Pedro and Maria (Mangapit) Ramos. He graduated from the Far Eastern University in Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. His internship was at the Evangelical Deaconess Hospital in Milwaukee. He received his residency at McLaren General Hospital and Hurley Hospital, both in Flint, Michigan. On November 4, 1967, he married Sharon Wittkopp in Milwaukee. Dr. Ramos was a prominent surgeon and physician and had resided in Ripon since 1971. He was a member of the Ripon Kiwanis Club, the American Medical Association, the State Medical Society of Wisconsin and the Fond du Lac County Medical Society. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and a member of the church choir. He was an avid bow hunter, cyclist, fisherman and skier.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; one son, Timothy Ramos and two daughters, Sarah and Maria Ramos all at home; two brothers, Pablo Ramos of Hawaii and Paulino Ramos of the Philippines; one sister, Carmen Encarnacion of the Philippines; mother and father-in-law, Harold and Leila Wittkopp of Plymouth and one brother-in-law, Chuck Wittkopp, of Plymouth; aunts, uncles and many friends. Teodoro was preceded in death by his parents and one infant daughter.

Visitation for Teodoro will be held on Friday, August 2, 1991, from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.

Funeral service for Teodoro will be held on Saturday, August 3, 1991, at 11:00 am at Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend David R. Meyer of Berlin and Reverend Martin Goldberg of Wauwatosa will officiate. Interment will follow in Garden of the Cross in Ripon. Memorials in his name may be directed to Messiah Lutheran Church, the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
