Theodore G. Gustavus, 76, of Ripon, died Saturday February 13, 1999, at Ripon Medical Center.
He was born on July 31, 1922, the son of Theodore and Adele (Gabert) Gustavus in Neenah, Wisconsin. Theodore received his education Ifl Klamath Falls, Oregon after joining the Navy at age 17. On June 9, 1945, he married Glenemay Helen Hanneman in San Diego, California. Theodore was employed at Speed Queen in Ripon as a truck driver for 28 years. He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church of Ripon, 25 year Club at Speed Queen, past member of Mascoutin of Green Lake, and loved to hunt, fish, bowl, and golf.
He is survived by his wife Glenemay Gustavus of Ripon. 4 children;

(Martin) Sanchez, Galesburg, Illinois. Marilyn K. Swaggerty, Chattanooga, Tennessee and Ronald E. GustavuS, Galesburg, Illinois. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Arthur (Edwina) Hanneman of Nevada, one brother, Edward (Marge) of Florida. Seventeen grandchildren; Ted Ill, Tommie, Timmy, Faylene, Pam Shurpit, Jennifer Oppermann, Jeanette, Nancy, Sandy Beulen, Mandy Moeller, Maria, Norma, Martin Sanchez, Marcos Sanchez, Cresencio Sanchez, Kevin and Marion and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Bernice.
Friends may call from 4 - 7 pm Tuesday February 16, 1999, at
Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church at 10 am, Wednesday, February 17, 1999, with the Reverend Bryan Fritsch officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Neenah, WI. Memorials can be given to Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon in Theodores name.
