Theodore Penke

Theodore Emil Penke, age 77, of Ripon, WI passed away on Monday, September 5, 1955 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Arthur Siewert.

Theodore was born in Ripon on May 17, 1878, the son of Fredrick and Theresa (Shale) Penke. He was educated at Arcade School and was a farmer living in the Ripon area all of his life. On March 2, 1904 he married Augusta Hoffman. Theodore was a member of Evangelical United Brethren Church in Ripon.

Theodore is survived by a son, George Penke of Ripon, WI; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Siewert and Mrs. Albert Kropp both of Ripon, WI; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three half-sisters, Mrs. Leo Nimmer and Louise Penke, both of North Fond du Lac, WI, and Mrs. Ed Stellmacher of Fond du Lac, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Augusta Penke and a son, Carl.

Visitation for Theodore will be held from 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 6, 1955 until 11:00 am on Thursday, September 8, 1955 at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon, and again from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 8, 1955 at Evangelical United Brethren Church in Ripon.

Funeral service for Theodore will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 8, 1955 at Evangelical United Brethren Church of Ripon, with Reverend C.A. Bender officiating. Interment will follow at Loper Cemetery, Ripon, WI.
