Theresa T. Prellwitz, age 44, of 205 County Rd. E, Ripon, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at Aurora Medical Center, Oshkosh, WI.
Theresa was born on July 18, 1962 in Ripon, the daughter of Richard and Linda (Walters) Jones. She graduated from Laconia High School. Theresa married Jeff Prellwitz on April 11, 1981, and was a mother and an Interior Decorator as part owner of Divine Redesign. She also developed a Christian line of Clothing and later sold the business, and it is still operating today in Neenah.
She was more than a wife and mother. To her husband, Jeff Prellwitz, she was his steady hand, compassionate friend, and encouraging wife. To her five daughter’s unconditional love barely grazes the surface of her sacrifices for them. Theresa was the girl’s best friend; she laughed, cried and encouraged them all through the hard times. Theresa’s love for Christ was evident in her daily life. She taught her kids to have a passion for Christ, and a love for people. Our Mom’s creativity was constantly radiating from the day she started to home school her kids, to the day she started her own interior decorating business, Divine Redesign. Our house was our mom’s joy, and her pride was to develop all and everything in it. She was a sister and best friend to her sisters and brother.
Her twin sister Teresa was her partner in crime. Their twin instincts left each other raising their kids together and growing closer as the years progressed. Her kids felt as if Teresa was their second mother. Teresa did not just lose a sister, or a twin, she lost her best friend. Her older sister Julie Fleener and older brother Richard Jones have stuck close to their baby sister’s side throughout the years.
She is survived by her husband Jeffery John Prellwitz of Ripon, five daughters, Amanda Rae, Brooke Elizabeth, Nicole Tracy, Courtney Alyson, and Danielle Rae; her mother Linda Slager (Jones); her two sisters Julie (Ron) Fleener, and twin sister Teresa (Leonard) Schmick, her brother Richard (Tristie) Jones. She was preceded in death by her father Richard Jones and father-in-law Raymond L. Prellwitz.
Visitation for Theresa Prellwitz will be held on Saturday (today), December 9, 2006 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Wyldewood Baptist Church, 3030 W. Witzel in Oshkosh.
Funeral Service for Theresa Prellwitz will be held on Saturday (today), December 9, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Wyldewood Baptist Church with the Reverend Randall King and Reverend Gregory Decker officiating. Interment will follow in Nepeuskun Cemetery, Town of Nepeuskun.
