Ted Anderson, age 81, of Markesan, died Monday, May 12, 1997, at Markesan Resident Home in Markesan where he had lived since April 1st.
He was born November 15, 1915, in Philip, SD, a son to the late Arthur and Blanche (Altenburg) Anderson. Ted grew up in SD where he graduated from high school, lived in Wisconsin until he graduated from the University of Wisconsin, and then lived in Minneapolis, MN and Chicago, IL where he was general sales manager for a chemical company. On September 9, 1940, he married the former Grace Gloe. Since his retirement 21 years ago, they have made their home in the Town of Green Lake. Ted was Township Chairman for Green Lake and was a member of the Green Lake Investment Club.
He is survived by his wife, Grace; I son, Jeff Anderson of Santa Rosa, CA; and 1 sister, Lee Ostenson of Grand Rapids, MI.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. At the wish of the family, cremation has taken place.
