Thomas Jorgensen

Thomas S. Jorgensen, 87 of 1 Stanton Street Ripon, died Monday Sept. 4, 1995 at home.

He was born in Poy Sippi on Jan. 5, 1908, a son of the late James and Mary Christiansen Jorgensen. He was educated in the Poy Sippi and Berlin Schools. On Sept. 1, 1932 he married Alice Nipko and made their home in the Poy Sippi area until moving to Ripon in 1948. Tom was employed at the Farmers State Bank in Poy Sippi from 1923 to 1946 as Cashier and President. In 1946 Tom held a Management position at R-Line Foods in Ripon and in 1948 he purchased the business. In 1970 he retired as President of the Company. Thomas was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alice (Nipko)Jorgensen; 2 sons, Herbert (Carol) Jorgensen of Green Lake, Don (Joyce) Jorgensen of Ripon; 5 Grandchildren, Patricia Jorgensen of Oshkosh, Beth (Steve) Heng of Appleton, Jane (Matt) Anderson of Tennessee, Joel (Haley) Jorgensen of Ripon, Mark Jorgensen of Kentucky; 4 Great—grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Garrett and Sarah Heng of Appleton, Lily Jorgensen of Ripon; 2 Sisters, Rubena (Edward) Hansen of Oshkosh, Mildred (Grant) Godson of Poy Sippi; 1 Brother, Rev. Sidney
(Eileen)Jorgensen of California; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral Services for the late Thomas S. Jorgensen will be Wed. Sept. 6, at 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon with the Rev. Richard Collier officiating. Burial will be in the Poy Sippi Cemetery, Poy Sippi.

Friends may call Tues. Sept. 5, from 5—8 PM at the Butzin— Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and from 10 AM to the time of service on Wed. at the Church. A memorial has been established.
