Thomas Robert Zimmerman, age 60, died on September 8, 2009, in Milburn, OK.
Thomas Robert Zimmerman was born on November 7, 1948, in Ripon, Wisconsin to Ralph Zimmerman and Dorothy (Wizner) Zimmerman. He graduated from Green Lake High School and later served in the United States Air Force from 1967-1971. He married Louise Smith on April 17, 1970, in Ft. Worth, Texas. Tom graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in 1976 and began work at a 31 year career with the Field Audit Division of the Internal Revenue Service. He served with distinction both as a field auditor and as Large Case Group Manager. He retired in 2007 and began doing what he really loved. After having grown up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, then spending years getting an education and having a career, he was ready to return to the farm in Johnston County. He rebuilt the family home he had grown to love, and began a new addition, making room to live there during retirement and be surrounded by family. He died there doing what he loved, providing for his family. Tom loved his family and life without measure and took very good care of all of them. In turn, he was loved without measure and his life was a blessing for them all. He will be missed by everyone. He will be missed by everyone, but love is eternal.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Buddie Smith and brother-in-law, Joe Wilson.
