Una Sophia Pausig, 95, of Green Lake, and for the past months, a resident at the American House of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at Ripon Medical Center.
Una was born on June 7, 1909, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Edwin and Emma (Arndt) Umbreit. She graduated from Oshkosh schools, and married Edward R. Pausig on December 22, 1934. Una lived in Oshkosh, Sheboygan, and Green Lake before moving to the American House in Ripon. She was a past member of the United Methodist Churches of Oshkosh, Sheboygan and Princeton. Before retiring she was an active member in several Square Dancing Clubs and the Sheboygan Dance Club.
Survivors include one daughter; Nola L. (Richard) Keslinke of Geneva, IL, one daughter-in-law; Sharon R. Pausig of Menasha, three grandchildren; Edward (Leah) Pausig of Menasha, Ellen (Gerald R.) Welk of Oshkosh, and Emlynn (Michael) Grisar of Hartford, WI, three great grandsons; Samuel and Jordan Pausig and Colbey Grisar. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, and one son, Nile.
Funeral services for Una Sophia Pausig will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 9:45 am at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh with Pastor Levi Snyder officiating. Friends may call on Saturday at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. Memorials can be made out to the American Cancer Society, Midwest Div. or Alzheimer’s Assn, Southeast WI.
