Ursula Wise, age 94, of Markesan, WI, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Barrett House in Markesan.
Ursula was born on September 28, 1919, in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, the daughter of Carl and Marie (Bergmann) Iden. She was united in marriage to Karl Becker for 26 years; he preceded her in death in February of 1975. Ursula was then married to Nelson Wise, and he preceded her in death in 1982. She owned and operated Edelweiss German Restaurant in the Chicagoland area for many years and was a member of numerous German Clubs.
Survivors include her daughter, Cordelia “Tookie” (Michael) Bresnen, Princeton, WI; son, Carl (Yvonne) Becker, of California; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; and two sons.
Per Ursula’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.
