Valentino Rivera Sr.

Valentino “Tino” Martinez Rivera Sr. age 73, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at his home with family by his side.
Tino was born February 14, 1947, in Victoria, TX, the son of Francisco and Marianna (Martinez) Rivera. In 1965, he married Beverly Ann Miller in Wautoma, WI. Tino worked in maintenance at Speed Queen. He was also a musician with the bands, Whiskey River, Unknowns, Westerners and Nashville Sounds. He was very musical playing multiple instruments but enjoyed his guitar the most. Tino was a very talented woodworker making furniture for family and remote control model airplanes. He also enjoyed flying them when he was finished building them. Tino was a member of the Eagles Club and VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Rivera of Ripon, WI; two sons, Valentino Rivera Jr. of Warrenton, MO and Steven (Terri) Rivera of Ripon, WI and daughter, Carrie Ann (Mike) DeMotts of Ripon, WI; grandchildren, Leanardo (Coral) Rivera, Samantha (Ian) McCulloch, Keegan, Cassidy, Luis, Lucas and Levi (significant other, Nikki Feldt) Rivera, Katee (Chris) Henning and Kurtis (Nikki) Henning; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Bowen, Aria, Ellis, Kyleigh, Lucas Jr., Zoe, Grayson, Jack, Memphis, Georgia, Jett, Wrenleigh, Ava and Keanu; brother, Henry (Kathy) Rivera, sister, Agnes (Bob) Ziebell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Mariana Rivera; brothers, Julian, Don and Francisco, Jr.; sisters, Katy and Theresa; grandson, Cody and sisters-in-law, Thelma and Lorraine and brothers-in-law, Lupe Flores and Russell Stumpner.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A memorial is being established in his name. The family would like to thank Generations Hospice Team for their love and care to Tino and his family.
