Valerie J. Thomsen, age 34, of Guatemala (formerly of Ripon, WI) passed away on Friday, May 15, 1987 in Izabel, Guatemala.
Valerie was born on June 26, 1952 in Hustisford, WI, the daughter of Walter and Geraldine (Hetzel) Thomsen. She attended school in Ripon and had lived in Guatemala for 3 years, where she was a nurse.
Valerie is survived by her father, Walter Thomsen of Wautoma, WI; mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Nance of Urbandale, IA; three sons, Jeff Waltenberry of Ripon, WI, Willie Diaz and Bobby Diaz both of FL; three brothers, Walter "Bud" Thomsen of NC, Russell Thomsen of Ripon, WI, and Bill Thomsen of Omaha, NE; three sisters, Sandy (Don) Thiem of Neshkoro, WI, Karen Thomsen of Princeton, WI, and Joy Thomsen of NC; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Bott of Milwaukee, WI; and one step-sister, Sandy Justus of DeForest, WI.
Visitation for Valerie will be held from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Friday, May 22, 1987 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, WI.
A Memorial Service for Valerie will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, May 22, 1987 also at the funeral home, with Reverend James Mohr officiating.
