Velma Faye Beck, age 90, of the Town of Rosendale, died Tuesday morning, July 25, 2000, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
She was born November 20, 1909, in Carmi, IL, a daughter to John and Nellie (Burke) Frazier. She graduated from high school in Carmi and then graduated from Business College. On June 30, 1929, she married Oscar Andrew Beck, and they farmed in the Town of Rosendale. Velma worked in the clerical office at Ripon Hospital for many years and was a member of the Farm Bureau and Royal Neighbors of America.
She is survived by her son, Earl (Betty) Beck of Rosendale; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Faith Beck of Campbellsport; one sister, Irene Langford; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; two sons, Louis and George Beck and her two sisters.
Memorial service for Velma Beck will be Monday, July 31, 2000, at 7:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with Pastor Tom Morgon officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4:30 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
