Velora C. Stanton, age 89, of 517 Newbury St. Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Ripon Medical Center, Ripon.
Velora was born on April 12, 1917 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Arvy and Lola (Elliott) Carrel. She graduated from Topeka High School and on March 2, 1946 she married Allan Mark Stanton in California. Velora worked as a secretary for the Nunda, NY public schools, and attended the First Congregational Church - UCC in Ripon.
Survivors include her children; John Stanton of Ripon, WI, Constance Stanton of Portageville, NY, and Mark Stanton of Clementon, NJ, and 2 granddaughters, Mary Stanton of Helena, MT, Christy Wolf of Clearwater, FL and 1 great-grandson, Allen Stanton of Helena, MT. Velora was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband Allan M. Stanton on December 8, 1980, 2 brothers; Ralph and Leonard and 2 sisters; Irene and Milley.
Visitation for Velora C. Stanton will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2007 from 2-4:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Services for Velora C. Stanton will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at 4:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Jack W. Kraaz officiating. A memorial has been established in her name.
