Vera Whetstone, age 92, of 50 Wolverton Ave. passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at Fountain View Nursing Home, Ripon.
Vera was born on August 4, 1913, in Bellwood, Illinois, the daughter of Casimir and Catherine (Malecski) Golen. She was educated at Sunnyside School in Illinois. In 1930, she married George Whetstone. She lived in Bellwood until she moved to Ripon in 1992.
Survivors include daughter, Patricia Des Jardins of Ripon; grandchildren, Cindy Mclynn of Wonder Lake, IL, Billy Des Jardins of Ripon and Janice (Antonio) Des Jardins of Westmont, IL; 2 great-grandchildren, Sean (Linda) Mclynn and Kellie (Todd) Goebel both of Wonder Lake, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, daughter, Gerry (Billy Van) Purcell, son-in-law, William Des Jardins and brothers and sisters.
A Private Funeral Service for Vera Whetstone will be held in Ripon. Interment will be held in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Village of Hillside, Illinois, on Friday, July 28, 2006.
