Vern "Jake" Jacobson

Vern “Jake” Jacobson, age 53, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, July 10, 1992, at his home.
He was born on July 18, 1938, in Barron County, to Boyd and Myrtle (Germanson) Jacobson. He attended Barron Schools and served in the U.S. Army from 1961 until 1963. On April 13, 1963, he married Wava Tubbs. Together they have made Ripon their home for the past 26 years. During most of that time Jake has served as a Power Plant Technician for Green Giant of Ripon. He is a member of Messiah Lutheran Church of Ripon.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by one son, Doug (Shari) of Ripon; one daughter, Sue (Rick) Bentz of Waupun; one granddaughter, Jenna; three sisters, Ruth Timm of Rice Lake, Ann Jones of Rice Lake and Carol Stoll of Amery; and one brother, Alvin of Cumberland.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 13, 1992, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Funeral Services for Vern Jacobson will be held Tuesday, July 14, 1992, at 11:00 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon. The Reverend Bryan Fritsch will officiate and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established for Hospice Hope.
