Vern Stevenson

Vern Dale Stevenson, age 75, of Ripon, WI, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac, WI, with family at his side.
Vern was born November 17, 1939, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Sam and Lucille (Manning) Stevenson. Vern graduated from Pulaski High School and in 1978, married Pam Dix at St. John’s Chapel in Milwaukee. He worked for Harley Davidson in Milwaukee before moving to Ripon where he worked for Speed Queen. He was the past Vice President of the Local Union 1327. Vern enjoyed cooking and was an avid Packers fan. He also liked the Brewers and enjoyed watching the Nascar races.
Vern is survived by his wife, Pam of Ripon, WI; sons, Dale (Lisa) Stevenson and Robert Stevenson both of Wind Lake, WI, and Dan (Tamara) Stevenson of Ripon; daughters, Lori Hodge of Ripon, WI, Crystal (Adam) Urbanski of Milwaukee, WI, and Angie (Jay) Nitz of Green Lake, WI; grandchildren, Dylan, Melyssa, Bobby, Aly, Kyleigh, Brody, Kaylan, Ava, and Preston. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Lucille Stevenson and his brother, Richard Stevenson.
Visitation for Vern will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015, from 3 – 6:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
A Celebration of Vern’s Life will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. A memorial is being established.
The family would like to extend a thank you to Agnesian Hospice Hope of Green Lake and Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac for all of their care given to Vern and a special thank you to Jane Dix for all of her love and support.
