Verna Beatrice Haase, 80, formerly of Brandon and currently residing at 531 N Union St, Ripon, died Thursday, December 21, 1995 at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born February 11, 1915 in the Town of Winneconne, a daughter of the late Roy and Anna Mae (Helms) Angell. She attended schools in Winneconne. On February 11, 1930 she married Henry Hansen in Oshkosh and he passed away on October 13, 1954. She later married Wilbur Haase on July 23, 1955 at the Omro Baptist Church. Mr. Haase passed away on July 5, 1990. Verna had lived most of her 1ife in the Brandon area. She was a housewife and helped work on the family farm. She was a member of the Fond du Lac County Farm Bureau and a member of St. Brendans Catholic Church in Brandon.
She is survived by six sons, Floyd (Nancy) Hansen of Neenah, Francis Bud (Phyllis) Hansen of Poy Sippi, James (Ginny) Hansen of Brandon, Ronald (Judy) Haase of Brandon, John Pollack of Clintonville and Roger (Jean) Haase of Beaver Dam. She is further survived by 5 daughters, Genevieve (Eugene) Jensen of Brandon, Mary Ann (Ronald) Pike of Red Granite; Rosemarie Mathe of Oshkosh, Linda (Duane) Nitz of Berlin and Arlene Weiss of Appleton; 29 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and 1 brother, Lester Angell of Winneconne. She was preceded in death by her 2 husbands, 2 sons, Ernest Hansen in 1971 and Paul Haase on December 20, 1995, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Sunday, December 24, 1995 at 1 P.M. at St Brendans Catholic Church in Brandon. Father Russan Cole will officiate and interment will be in the Eureka Cemetery, Winnebago County. Visitation will be Sunday from 11 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the church.
