Verna Sasada

Mrs. Verna A. Sasada, 94, of 50 Wolverton Ave. Ripon, died Saturday, May 14, 1988 at Parkview Nursing Home in Ripon.

She was born July 9, 1893, to Michael and Augusta Guenther Hauptman in Forest Park, IL.

On March 28, 1917, she married Albert W. Sasada. Mrs. Sasada was educated in Chicago and spent the last 70 years in Ripon. She was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon.

Survivors include one son, Glenn of Ripon; one daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Loretta) Handrich of Manawa; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 14, 1970; one son; one daughter and one granddaughter.

Friends may call from 5 – 8:30 pm on Monday at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon. The Reverend James D. Mohr will officiate and interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
