Vernon Peterson

Vernon M. Peterson, age 74, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 1990, at the Omro Care Center, Omro where he had resided for one week.
He was born April 25, 1915, in Abbotsford, a son of Walter and Bertha (Bond) Peterson. On May 17, 1947, he married Phyllis Lukoski. She preceded him in death on March 30, 1982. Mr. Peterson was educated in Colby. He served in the U.S. Army from November 5, 1942 – February 5, 1946. He had resided in Ripon since 1947, and was on the assembly line at Speed Queen, Ripon.
Survivors include one son, Roger and his wife, Bonnie of Ripon; two grandchildren; one brother, Philip of Ripon and three sisters, Lorraine Stobb of Markesan, and Lillian Spychalla and Ruth Schaetzka, both of Ripon. Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call Saturday, March 31, 1990, from 9:00 until the hour of services at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Services for Mr. Peterson will be held Saturday, March 31, 1990, at 11:00 a.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. The Revered Arthur Volkmann will officiate. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon.
