Victor A. Sandberg, age 82, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 1990, at his home.
Mr. Sandberg was born September 17, 1908, in Minneapolis, a son of Gustave and Tekla (Meck) Sandberg. He attended the University of Minnesota for two years and on December 16, 1938, he married Beatrice Lynch in Hudson, WI. He has made his residence in Green Lake for the past forty-four years and for much of that time was an inspector at Speed Queen in Ripon. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity at University of Minnesota and following a stint in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII, a Post Commander for the Green Lake American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice; one daughter, Victoria Connolly of Toronto, Canada; two sons, William (Laurie) Sandberg of Green Lake and Robert Sandberg of Prentice; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one brother, Adolph (Marian) Sandberg of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Friends may call from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 1990 at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral services for Mr. Sandberg will be at 3:30 Wednesday, November 14, 1990 at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with the Reverend Walter R. Nickel officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date.
