Victor Shurpit, age 83, of Princeton, WI, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012, at his home with his family by his side.
Victor was born on August 18, 1929, in Princeton, the son of Andrew and Peggy (Sobralski) Shurpit. On October 3, 1953, he married Jeanie Kozlowski. Victor worked for Ripon Foods for 38 years. He was an active member of St. Johns Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Jeanie Shurpit of Princeton, WI; son, Andy Shurpit of Princeton, WI; sister, Irene (John) Carini of Princeton, WI; sister-in-law, Lucille Hopp of Berlin, WI; brother-in-law, Clarence Kozlowski of Princeton, WI and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Victor is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Victor is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Violet Gerhardt and Dorothy OBoyle; brother, Kenneth Shurpit; brother-in-law, Robert Hopp and sister-in-law, Theresa Kozlowski.
Vistation for Victor will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, from 9 10:30 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., Princeton, WI 54968.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at 10:30 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton. Father Dale Grubba will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Johns Catholic Cemetery in Princeton. A memorial is being established.
