Mrs. Viola Gilbert, age 74, of 550 North Douglas St. in Ripon, died Monday, September 4, 1989, at her home.
She was born October 8, 1914, in the Town of Metomen to William and Margaret Watson Koentopp. In 1947, she married Clifford Gilbert.
Mrs. Gilbert was educated in Ripon. She had lived in the Ripon area most of her life. She was a retired nurses aid at Parkview Nursing Home in Ripon. She attended Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
Survivors include her husband, Clifford; one son, Richard G. Koentopp of Oshkosh; one daughter, Betty Liefke of Ripon; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two sisters, Florence Benz of Fairwater and Marion Johnson of Madison.
Private services will be held with Reverend Harley C.W. Tretow officiating. Interment will be in Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon.
