Viola Knollenberg

Viola P. Knollenberg, age 90, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2009, at Fountain View Care Center, Ripon.
Viola was born on September 30, 1918, in Fond du lac, WI, the daughter of Gustave and Rose Radtke. She graduated from Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac. On February 2, 1942, she married Homer L. “Jukes” Knollenberg in Berlin. Viola was employed in a photography studio and several retail stores in the Fond du Lac area. She also managed music departments at Wilson Music Store, in Oshkosh, and in Pontiac, Michigan, before becoming a homemaker. Viola was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her sons, Marvin R. Knollenberg of Ripon, WI, and James C. Knollenberg of Lake Forest, IL; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Viola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and three brothers, Marvin, Lester and Irving Radtke.
