Virginia Lee Welsch

Virginia Lee Welsch, age 84, Ripon, died under Hospice Hope care Monday morning, February 11, 2002, at Michalene's in Ripon.

She was born November 18, 1917, in Milwaukee, a daughter to John E. and Eleanor (Beal-hen) Fischer, Sr. Virginia was schooled in Milwaukee where she graduated from Holy Cross School and later graduated from Mt. Sinai Hospital for Nursing in 1939. She had been a registered nurse at Milwaukee County General Hospital and Perfex Co., and until retiring in 1980, she had been the industrial nurse at Speed Queen, Ripon. On May 7, 1966, she had married Leonard A. Welsch in Milwaukee. Mrs. Welsch was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Ripon.

Survivors include her husband, Leonard Welsch of Ripon; one daughter, Virginia Anzivino of Ripon; two grandsons, Robert R. Carra III of Tampa, FL, and Michael Anzivino of Green Lake; one granddaughter-in-law, Charlene Anzivino of Neshkoro; great-grandchildren, Austin & Amber Anzivino of Neshkoro and Tiffany Carra of FL; a sister, Phyllis Baur of South Milwaukee, and a brother, Jack Fischer of Milwaukee. She is further survived by her stepchildren, Leonard (Pauline) Welsch of CA, Patricia (Jordan) Hansen of Fond du Lac, Eugene Welsch of Fond du Lac,
Michael (Debbie) Welsch of MI, Susan Huebner and Jack Walters, both of Eau Claire, and Ruth Welsch of Fond du Lac; and many step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Doris & Charles Zampach, and her stepson, Donald Welsch.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, February 16, 2002, at 11 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Father Robert A. Fictum officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church. Inurnment will be in Nepeuskun Cemetery, Town of Nepeuskun. Virginia was loved very much by her family, and will be deeply missed.
