Vitalis Stoeberl

Vitalis E. Stoeben, 81, formerly of Rice Lake, died Thursday, March 16, 1995, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
She was born Dec. 9, 1913, in Rice Lake, a daughter of Michael and Zelfrieda Demers. On Aug. 16, 1934, she married Joseph A. Stoeberl at St. Joseph’s Church in Rice Lake.
Mrs. Stoeberl was a homemaker all her life. She was employed for a time at Schultz Store in Rice Lake. Mrs. Stoeberl was a member and officer in the Altar Society at Sacred Heart Church in Almena. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s Society of St. Joseph, a member of the Friends of St. Francis and a member of the Moose Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Juliet Erickson and her husband Dr. Rick of Fond du Lac; one son, Gib and his wife Karen of Ripon; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill of Palo Alto, Calif. and two sisters, Deiphine of Chelsea, Mich. and Delia of Rice Lake.
Preceding her in death were her husband in 1988; one son, Joseph in 1990; six brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Church in Rice Lake. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
Visitation is 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at Appleyard Funeral Home in Rice Lake.
