Vivian Chapel

Vivian M. Chapel, age 92, of 850 Sunny Side Rd., Green Lake, passed away Monday, March 5, 2007 at her home in Kindred Hearts, Green Lake.

Vivian was born on June 12, 1914 in Green Lake the daughter of Loy and Agnes Mae (Palmer) Burling. She graduated from Green Lake High School and attended the University of Wisconsin Madison. On November 9, 1936 she married Clare Marcy Chapel at the Federated Church in Green Lake. Vivian was a homemaker, a Realtor, Office manager and a Bookkeeper, a Charter member of the Federated Church of Green Lake, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She lived in Green Lake most of her life. Vivian loved to knit and do needle point. She was an avid golfer belonging to Tuscumbia country club golf course and played until she was 89 years old. She was a die hard Milwaukee Brewers fan that never missed a game that was televised.

Survivors include her children; Marsha (Patrick) Marrow of Wild Rose, WI, Kay (George) Spangler of St. Paul, MN, and James (Susan) Chapel of Yorba Linda, CA, 8 grandchildren; Kirk Morrow of Wautoma, WI, Shawn Jepson of Waupaca, WI, Christine Clark, of Wyoming, MN, Coreen Geurts, Paynesville, MN, Jennifer Spangler-Wagner, Maplewood, MN, Mark Spangler, Eagan, MN, Kristen Petersavage, Oro Valley, AZ, Melissa McEvers, Murrieta, CA. 15 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters; Jeanne Kohnke of Green Lake, WI Leonard Burling of Brookfield, WI, Dolores Juhls of King, WI Loyce Ann Thrall of Murrells Inlet, SC and Hugh Burling of Dane, WI. Also surviving Vivian are several nieces and nephews. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clare Chapel, brother Walter (Bud), and two sisters; Marilyn Burling and Charlene Adams.

Visitation for Vivian M. Chapel will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2007 from 12-1 pm at the Federated Church of Green Lake.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 17, 2007 at 1 pm at the Federated Church of Green Lake with Pastor Karen Gygax Rodriguez officiating. Inurnment will follow in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. A Memorial has been established for the Federated Church in Green Lake.
