Walter Astrach

Walter J. Astrach, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2002 at Juliette Manor in Berlin.
Walter was born on July 31, 1917, the son of Frederick and Magdilline (Leshnuk) Astrach in Berlin. He graduated from Berlin High School and went on to the University of Pittsburgh while in the U.S. Air Force from 1941-1945. Walter married Helene Kobernik in Dubuque in 1940; he enjoyed fishing, hunting and trap shooting.
Survivors include his wife, and one son, James (Lynn) Astrach of Aspen, CO. and nieces and nephews. His parents, one brother, and two sisters preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
