Walter August Briese age 88, of Ripon, WI, died Wednesday, April 6, 1988, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
Walter was born October 11, 1899, in Harrisville, WI, the son of August and Emma (Boose) Briese. He was educated in Harrisville. In 1926, Walter married Alvina Harke. He worked as an inspector at Speed Queen and retired after 23 years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Survivors include son, Elroy of Ripon; two daughters, Mrs. Sam (Delores) Van Doren of Markesan and Mrs. Harold (Elaine) Zepp of Ripon; several grand and great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. George Wagner of Westfield, WI. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 1988, from 5 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 1988, at 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. The Reverend Carl L. Stubenvoll will officiate. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
