Walter Laurence Jahnke, age 91, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, May 22, 1987, at Parkview Nursing Home in Ripon.
Walter was born September 16, 1895, in Markesan, WI, the son of Emil and Minnie (Kohn) Jahnke. He served our country in the United States Army. Walter married Florence Stellmacher on August 21, 1929 until her passing on February 8, 1969. He lived in Ripon since 1945 and was a farmer. Walter was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church of Ripon.
Survivors include one son, Reuben of Ripon; one daughter, Delores (Clifford) Kiser of Fond du Lac; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Walter was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, one brother and one sister.
Visitation for Walter will be held Monday, May 25, 1987, from 6 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service for Walter will be held Tuesday, May 26, 1987, at 11:00 am at Immanuel United Methodist Church of Ripon with The Reverend Robert LeCount officiating. Interment will follow at Loper Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
