Walter Kolberg

Walter Kolberg Jr., age 82, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI.
Walter was born July 16, 1932, in Sheboygan, WI, the son of Walter and Amanda (Grabs) Kolberg Sr. He graduated from Ripon High School in 1950. In 1955, Walter married Mary Randall in Forest Junction, WI. He was a farmer all of his life. Walter was a dedicated father and grandfather who loved his children and grandchildren very much. In Walter’s earlier years he was the 4-H Leader of the 3 Hilltoppers. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon. Walter enjoyed pheasant hunting with his dogs. He was also an avid Wisconsin Badger and Ripon Tigers fan.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Kolberg of Ripon, WI; two sons, Randy and William (Jane) Kolberg both of Ripon, WI; daughter, Kristine Kolberg of Ripon, WI and two grandchildren, Cody Kolberg of Eau Claire, WI and Kaycee Kolberg of Green Bay, WI. Walter was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for Walter will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, from 4 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, from 10 – 11:00 am at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 401 West Fond du Lac St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Walter will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at 11:00 am at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon. Pastor Joshua Pegram will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial is being established in his name.
