Walter Linetty

Walter W. Linetty, age 78, of Berlin, WI, passed away on July 31, 1987, at Juliette Manor in Berlin.

Walter was born September 24, 1908 in Ripon, the son of Joseph and Katherine (Wizner) Linetty. He was educated in Ripon. Walter served our country in the United States Army fighting in WWII, 317 Infantry. He married Irene Laboyeske on November 23, 1937 until her death on July 26, 1963. Walter was a member of St. Wenceslaus. Walter volunteered for 26 years as a fireman for the City of Ripon and was a member of the VFW Post 5278 and the American Legion Brown-Prafitt Post #43.

Survivors include one brother, Frank Linetty of Fond du Lac, WI and one sister, Mrs. Sophie Ryerson of Milwaukee, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sisters and one brother.

Visitation for Walter will be held on Sunday, August 2, 1987, from 5 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with a VFW Service at 7:45 on and a Rosary at 8:00 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial for Walter will be held on Monday, August 3, 1987, at 10:00 am at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Ripon with The Reverend William Toelle officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. Memorials may be directed to the Ripon Fire Department.
