Walter Lawrence Peterson, age 76, of the Township of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 1991, at his home.
He was born July 30, 1914, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Walter T. and Ida (Erickson) Peterson. On May 17, 1941, he married Martha Bluhm in Milwaukee.
Mr. Peterson attended the University of Minnesota where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He had been employed at Allis Chalmers in West Allis for 35 years and then at Fluor Corp. in Chicago for seven years. He retired in 1977. He was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Ripon.
Survivors include his wife, Martha; one daughter, Jane (Lee) Wnuk of Racine; one son, Walter (Jane) Peterson of Springfield, MO; four granddaughters, Jennifer, Katie and Kim Wnuk, and Jessica Peterson; two sisters, Shirley (Denny) Cornelius and Lorraine Baer, both of Coeur dAlene, ID; one brother-in-law, Leslie (Janet) Bluhm of Milwaukee; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Private Memorial Services will take place at a later date. Memorials in his name may be given to the Princeton Library, St. Peters Episcopal Church or the charity of your choice.
