Walter Gust Street, age 82, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 1991, at the Omro Care Center in Omro.
Walter was born March 21, 1909, in Montello, a son of George and Emma (Zarbrook) Street. On April 15, 1931, he married Irene Stibb in Germania. They celebrated 60 years of marriage. They farmed in their early years of marriage. Then for 25 years Walter worked in the maintenance department at Speed Queen in Ripon. He was a member of the Mount Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; two sons, Eldon of Chicago, IL and Milton of Fond du Lac along with three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
Visitation for Walter will be held on Friday, July 26, 1991, from 6 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service for Walter will be held on Saturday, July 27, 1991, at 1:00 pm at Mount Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend C.S. Hollerup will officiate. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Reeds Corners in the Town of Metomen. Memorials may be directed in his name to Mount Zion Evangelical Church in Ripon.
